Dear Just Breathe Community,

Throughout my life I have been passionate about helping people. For the last 17+ years, through massage therapy, I have had the pleasure of being a part of a healing community. I have had the honor of having a small hand (or foot) in your journeys of healing, pain relief, stress relief, relaxation, and much more. Which is why the message I am sending today is so bittersweet.

I have made the difficult decision to step away from massage therapy. I have been offered a job in another field and, after much consideration and deliberation, have decided to accept it. While I hate leaving all of you and the therapeutic relationships we have developed over the years, I move forward with confidence knowing that I am doing what is best for myself and my family. I am excited for this new chapter in my life!

I know that this news may come as a shock and a disappointment to many of you. I have tried to anticipate any questions you may have and answer them below. Please reach out to me if anything seems unclear or if you still have questions after reading the information below.

It has been such a pleasure to serve you all throughout my career. I am so grateful for the privilege to have been a part of your wellness team. Thank you so much for all of the support you have shown me and my business!

So, what does it mean? 

Beginning Monday, August 28th my schedule/availability will be as follows:  Wed/Fri - 1:30pm - 4:00pm Every other Saturday (on the current schedule) 9:30 - 3:00pm  Every other Sunday (on the current Saturday schedule – 8/27) 9:30 - 12:30pm

My last day at the Church Street Studio will be sometime near the end of September. I will share a more exact date when I know it.      

What if I have a massage scheduled after 8/28 before 1:30pm?  

If you already have an appointment scheduled during the day before 1:30pm I will be reaching out to you to see if you would like to reschedule or cancel your appointment. Massages that are already on the schedule will have priority in rescheduling. I will do my best to accommodate everyone's schedule.

What if I have prepaid sessions?

Massages that are already paid for will have priority in rescheduling. I will do my best to accommodate everyone's schedule.

What if I (or someone I know) has an unused gift certificate?

If you have an unused gift certificate, please contact me as soon as possible to schedule your appointment. If you have given a gift certificate and you know that your loved one has not redeemed it, please encourage them to contact me as soon as possible to redeem the gift card. I will do everything I can to accommodate outstanding gift certificates. In the rare case that I cannot accommodate the gift recipient, we can discuss possible transfer or refund.

Where will I go for massage now?

I am personally trying out massage therapists in the area so that I may make recommendations for you on who might be a good fit for your individual needs. I will share my recommendations with you all as my last day approaches.

Are you quitting massage forever?

I’ll never say never! I’m not sure if I will come back to massage or keep doing it as a hobby. I do know that I will complete my license renewal this year, which will allow me to legally still massage through December 2025. I’ll have to wait and see where life takes me in the meantime!
